The word “giclée,” as a fine art term, has come to be associated with prints that are produced using fade-resistant, archival inks (pigment based, as well as newer solvent based inks) and archival substrates. Using the Ultra-Chrome K3 pigmented inkset, from Epson, Imagekind's fine art printers deliver outstanding color on a variety of media including glossy, satin, matte, fine art and canvas.
The beauty and brilliance of a pigment giclee on canvas, watercolor or satin paper is unparalleled. Fortunately, they're also made to last. The Epson system of inks and paper have received lightfast permanence ratings from the Wilhelm Research Institute that well exceed 75 yrs (under glass and longer with proper UV protection), so you can be assured that your prints will look just as good in 30 years as they do today.
Please note, all of the photographed prints on this website are printed on imagekind's Epson Enhanced matte, acid free, heavyweight paper – 10 mil (250gsm).
Your print will be delivered carefully rolled in a "crush proof" tube, simply unroll the print and place it on a flat surface. You can flatten it out by laying it down with some weight on the corners, I usually place a few books on top. Your print will easily flatten out completely with matting and/or framing.
